The document presented below is the result of an "Analytical work" carried out in
connection with the European Union's EUROsociAL II Programme.
Socio-professional integration appears as a fundamental part of a policy of social
reintegration, a broader concept that covers the need for the satisfaction of other
needs that could be criminogenic factors such as the abusive use of drugs or alcohol,
homelessness and lack of support from the family or the community of residence for
the person with a criminal record.
